The Wyoming Quilt Trail as a coordinated state-wide project started in 2016. Although painted quilt blocks were displayed in many Wyoming communities previously, no true "Wyoming Quilt Trail" had been established. A group in Lusk took on the project as a positive community endeavor after a devastating flood wreaked havoc in the town and Niobrara County in 2015. Travelers and locals enjoy sighting the brightly-colored squares on barns, homes, garages, businesses, fences, and many other more unlikely sites. A project in the making, we invite every Wyoming communityto join us in adding new branches to the trail. Our goal is to have "a block on every Wyoming block" - whether it be a city block or country mile! A map is being developed that will help visitors find the various quilt blocks and give their travels through Wyoming an extra delight!
